Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has emerged as a statesman following his performance as the Chairman of the 12th Saarc summit in Islamabad, reports UPP correspondent.
The manner in which Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali conducted the proceedings of the three-day Saarc summit from 4th to 6th January, 2004 has been widely appreciated by the media representatives who attended the Saarc summit for on-the-spot coverage.
It was particularly noted by the journalists that the Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali maintained a very composed attitude at the Saarc summit and refused to be provoked by any of the questions at the briefing for the pressmen he gave at the end of the Saarc summit.
The Secretary General of the Saarc QMA Rahim has specially lauded the manner of statesmanship shown by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali at the Saarc summit and looked forward to a very happy working relationship with Pakistan Premier Mir Zafarullah Jamali during his tenure as the Saarc summit chairman till the next Saarc summit to be held in the Bangladesh Capital, Dhaka in 2005.
QMA Rahman also appreciated the very good arrangements made for the Saarc summit in Pakistan at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
