The Punjab Minister for Co-operative Colonel Malik Muhammad Anwar (Retd) has stressed the need for establishing the dairy farming in Pakistan on modern lines.
Talking to various delegations of farmers here on Wednesday, the minister pointed out that the government was committed to eradicate poverty from the country, and this is for the first time in the country's history, when provincial government has introduced farming friendly policies.
The farmers have been given the facility of obtaining long and short term loans from the co-operative banks, and for the first time the option of obtaining a loan of Rs 50,000 is given to dairy farmers as well.
