The Karachi Port handled 32,857 tonnes of cargo including 14,750 tonnes import and 18,107 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 27,357 tonnes dry and 5,500 tonnes liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Qatari Ibn Al-Fujaa, Hyundai Advance, Norasia Sindh, Johar and Keefan sailed to sea during the report period.
M.V. Kota Intan is currently at the berth.
Three ships namely Kota Intan, Nord Beach and Eax Sanctity expected to sail on Friday, while M.V. Chemstar Princess is expected to sail on Saturday.
Two ships namely Le Yi and Ap Star due to arrive on Friday, while five vessels viz Emirates Peace, Delmas Mauritius, Islamabad, Global Prince and Global Progress are due to arrive on Saturday.
A total cargo volume of 47,488 tonnes including 38,682 tonnes import and 8,806 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 80 tonnes edible oil; 3,014 tonnes chemicals; 9,483 tonnes general cargo; 9,930 tonnes iron ore and 21,981 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely Bianco Bulker, Ap Star and Qem Star sailed to sea during the report period, while two more ships namely M.V. Pearl of Fujayrah and MSC Socotra are expected to sail on Friday.
A total of three vessels viz Kinu Gawa, Iran Azadi and M.T. York are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely Iran Azadi and Mare Thracium due to take berths on Friday.
M.T. York due to arrive on Friday, while three more ships namely M.V. Iris, Wan Hai and Team Neptun are due to arrive on Saturday.
