The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has designated two new branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for collecting sales tax returns deposited by registered persons.
The CBR has amended SRO.952(I)/98 through SRO.12(I)/2004 issued here on Saturday.
The CBR has allowed Port Qasim Branch, Karachi, and Rehman Plaza Branch, Lahore, to collect sales tax returns submitted by registered persons.
Following is the text of the SRO issued here on Saturday: S.R.O. 12(I)/2004.-
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Central Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in its Notification S.R.O. No 952(I)/98, dated the 5th September, 1998, namely:
In the Table,-
(a) in column 3, for the heading "KARACHI (EAST and WEST)", the heading "SALES TAX HOUSE, KARACHI" shall be substituted;
(b) under the heading SALES TAX HOUSE, KARACHI, in column 3 as substituted hereinbefore in column 1, after serial No 69 and corresponding entries related thereto in columns 2 and 3, the following new serial number shall be inserted, namely:-
"70. Port Qasim Branch, Karachi." ; and
(c) under the heading LAHORE, in column 3, in column 1, after serial No 79 and corresponding entries relating thereto in columns 2 and 3, the following new serial number shall be inserted, namely:-
"80. Rehman Plaza Branch, Lahore."
