Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, has urged the industrialists and investors to work on war footing basis so as to enable them to meet the challenges of post WTO regime.
He expressed these views during a meeting with industrialists from textile sector here on Tuesday.
The minister stated that industrialists would be able to face the WTO challenges by reducing input cost and improving quality of their products.
He added that seminars would be arranged to create awareness amongst the businessmen. These seminars would be held in all the chambers of the province.
The minister said that implementation of WTO would leave impact on economies of all the developing countries, and one should be prepared in advance to face the forthcoming scenario.
He urged the industrialists to get ISO certifications for their products besides improving its quality in line with international standards.
