The KESC has begun with renewed vigour its campaign to change the electricity meters of the consumers in the city.
In several cases, the KESC has notified old consumers having legal connections with old meters in their promises that the old meters have been found without seals or seals broken and asked why this had taken place.
The billing officials have also pointed out to the old meter holders that there is big difference in their billing as compared to new connection holders and why was it so.
These questions have put the old-meter holders in a quandary under great mental stress.
Meanwhile, a large number of consumers, who have got the new electricity meters have complained about the fast running of these meters and called for immediate corrective steps.
