General Abizaid calls on Musharraf

Commander of US Centcom, General John P Abizaid, on Friday paid a courtesy call on President Pervez Musharraf and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The President wished the US General a pleasant and professionally rewarding stay in the country. He expressed the hope that General Abizaid's visit would serve to further enhance the existing excellent relations between the armed forces of the two countries.
US General's other engagements included meeting with the Vice Chief of Army Staff General Mohammad Yusaf Khan. During the call, matters of professional interest came under discussions.
Later in the day US Centcom Commander departed from PAF Base Chaklala where Lieutenant General Zarrar Azim, Inspector-General Training and Evaluation, and other officers of Pakistan Army saw him off.
