Indian troops arrested six Kashmiris, including the managing editor of an English daily, Rehmat, on fake charges in Vichar Nag Nowshera and Raj Bagh areas.
Addressing a public gathering at Tarzoo in Sopore on Sunday, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has said India is working on a genocidal agenda in occupied Kashmir, and recent custodial-killings is worst example of Indian state-terrorism.
He led an APHC delegation to the area to express solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family of a youth, Ghulam Mohiuddin, recently martyred by Indian troops in Rafiabad.
The APHC chief pointed out that supreme sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris during the liberation struggle have brought the Kashmir issue into the limelight, adding these sacrifices demand of the Kashmiris to solidify unity among their ranks to carry forward the liberation struggle, and appealed to the international human rights groups to play their significant role in bringing an end to the sufferings of Kashmiris.
In an interview with Kashmir Media Service, APHC leader Mohammad Shafi Reshi said the peace in South Asia is impossible without the resolution of the Kashmir issue.
Welcoming the decision by both Pakistan and India to hold composite dialogue next month, Shafi Reshi emphasised that India should accept the ground realities in occupied Kashmir to make the composite dialogue successful.
