Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday said debriefing process of the scientists and other related people will come to an end within a week.
"It was obligatory in view of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) concerns and negative propaganda against our nuclear programme that we have to question a number of people linked to nuclear programme," he said while addressing a press conference.
The minister dispelled the impression that Pakistan would hand over these scientists to any other country and will roll back its nuclear programme. "No way at all," he said in clear terms and pledged to continue war against those trying to malign the country through malicious propaganda.
"We are fighting a three-pronged war. One against those who were playing up the de-briefing, second those alleging the government for co-operation with Iran, Libya and North Korea and third those trying to spread hatred amongst masses against the government," Rashid said.
He said all these steps are not only to reply to the propagators effectively but also to address the concern of IAEA.
Rashid clarified that there was no bar on the scientists to meet their family members.
Families of one or two people going through de-briefing have already met them and remaining will be meeting within next two or three days.
He said all scientists of the first de-briefing session have been released and Farooq and other people are also expected to be released during next one month.
