The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly denounced intensification of state terrorism in occupied Kashmir ahead of Indian Republic Day, falling on January 26.
An APHC spokesman said on Friday in the run up to this day that Kashmiris were subjected to innumerable excesses by the occupation military forces. Crackdowns, search operations, frisking and arrests were carried out every day, he said.
He pointed out that civilians, including old, children and women, were subjected to severe torture, humiliation and mental torture during siege and search operations and identification parades.
Bakhshi Stadium, the venue of official ceremony on this day (January 26), and the areas around it, were being thronged with the Indian occupation troops, he said, adding that they had taken positions at all vantage points, including house-steps.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah, the head of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, in a statement issued here said, victimisation of Kashmiris, ahead of the Indian Republic Day, was violative of the spirit, generated by the recent joint declamation by the India-Pakistan to resolve all issues, including Kashmir, through composite talks.
The Indian occupation troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism, shot dead a youth in an encounter at Bramer-Narsar village in Islamabad district. Another young man was martyred in a clash at Bandipora in Baramulla area.
A body was recovered from Wasoora village in Pulwama.
An Indian soldier, Pardip Kumar, was also killed in the encounter. Two frustrated India troops died in infighting at Mahara in Uri area of Baramulla.
The occupation troops arrested 11 Kashmiris during violent crackdowns at Sumbal-Sonawari, Shopian area, Oazigund, Srinagar city and Kralpora Tangdar.
Nine more CRPF Battalions were being inducted here to further intensity victimisation of Kashmiris, struggling for liberation from the Indian subjugation.
CRPF Additional Director General Himanashu Kumar said in New Delhi that these battalions had been readied to be moved to occupied Srinagar and the task was expected to be completed by next year.
