Egypt seeks up to 55,000 tonnes wheat

An official from Egypt's state Holding Company for Food Industries (HCFI) said on Monday it was tendering for 30-55,000 tonnes of US, Canadian, French or Australian hard or soft wheat for February 10-20 shipment.
The official, who had earlier told Reuters the company was not tendering for wheat, said the tender was for one cargo with bids due in by 11 am local time (0900 GMT) on Tuesday.
The tender result would be announced on Tuesday after 1600 local time (1400 GMT), he said.
HCFI last announced a wheat tender on December 24, which they cancelled without giving a reason.
