Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmud Kasuri has said that there would be new agenda once Pakistan's relations with India got improved.
According to daily 'Hindustan Times', Kasuri did not agree to the reporters' contention of making compromises by Pakistan and said it was a spirit of flexibility shown by Islamabad to manifest its sincerity for peace.
When asked what Pakistan has got in return from India for the compromises made by it? Kasuri replied that there was flexibility on both the sides but no compromises at all.
When asked why Islamabad is shying from acknowledging US role in the Pak-India breakthrough, Kasuri answered that US role was being projected in a very negative manner and it all conveyed a message that Pakistan had been pushed against her wishes to make some compromises on national interests."
The Foreign Minister said that it was not the case. They were happy the US was taking a lot of interest. Collin Powell the US secretary of State had spoken to him six times in the last few weeks. They appreciated and recognised the US role but denied vehemently the perceptions of the compromises".
