President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali met in Rawalpindi on Tuesday and discussed matters of national importance, including efforts to drive the country to greater economic development.
The two leaders reviewed regional and international issues, an official handout said.
The president exchanged views with the prime minister about his recent visits to Turkey and Switzerland and his interaction with the world leaders and representatives of leading business concerns on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The two leaders expressed the hope that his visit would further enhance close relationship with Turkey and his interaction with the world business leaders in Davos would attract foreign investment into the country.
Both the leaders were of the view that the president's talks and interviews aired in a section of the media about Pakistan had greatly helped in removing misperceptions.
