The visiting Pakistan-origin Deputy Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Mahmood Hussain Khawaja has said that Kashmir freedom movement will soon achieve success.
He was addressing the gathering while inaugurating the Kashar Printing Service here on Wednesday.
The chief executive of the multi-purpose Kashar Printing Service M. Rafique Khawaja, welcoming the British Deputy Lord Mayor, highlighted the professional activities of his institution for promoting the bilateral trade relations in the printing sector between the Britain and Azad Jammu Kashmir especially through the involvement of United Kingdom-based Kashmiri community and the local business concerns.
The Birmingham City Deputy Lord Mayor continued that Kashmiris be given the right of freedom and self-determination under the spirit of the international norms.
He said that the day is not far away when the people of occupied Jammu Kashmir will also embrace with the blessing of freedom.
He said that Mirpur and Birmingham have very close friendly relation under the spirit of the Mirpur-Birmingham friendship treaty and following the close interaction between the Birmingham-based Pakistani and Kashmiri expatriates and the citizens of Mirpur. "I don't feel any difference between Birmingham and Mirpur, he said.
The ceremony was attended among others, by the members of the local business fraternity, social and political workers, lawyers, journalists and city elite.
