Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that Pakistan would launch road show of Eurobond on Friday in Singapore and take it to Hong Kong, London, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Frankfurt.
At a press conference on Thursday, Shaukat said that marketing or the "road show" of the Pakistani Eurobond would start at Singapore on Friday. It will come to its conclusion in London.
He said two teams had been set up. One would visit Singapore, Hong Kong and England and the other would visit Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt.
Shaukat would lead the first team and State Bank Governor Dr Ishrat Husain would lead the second.
He said that the successful launch of the road show would attract investment.
He said that the road show meant offering information about the microeconomic indicators/ achievement, debt profile, growth profile, revenue profile and all such information that are needed to take financial or investment decisions. Those who are expected to participate in the show would include lead managers, individual investors and institutional investors, etc.
The introduction of Eurobond would bring Pakistan back to international bond market.
APP ADDS: Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz is visiting the United Kingdom from Feb 11 to 12 to launch the Eurobonds for promoting investment in the country.
Aziz, arriving here on February 11, will have a meeting with the members of the Pakistan Business Investment Forum the same day. During the exchange of views, he would brief them on the investment opportunities and explain the rationale behind launching of the Eurobonds.
The finance minister will meet British Chancellor of Exchequer Gordon Brown on Feb 12 and discuss with him matters of mutual interests and brief him on the conducive investment environment in the country.
During his stay in London, Shaukat Aziz would meet both foreign and national media to brief them on turn around of the economy following far-reaching economic reforms and on floatation of Eurobonds.
