Leading the Pakistan delegation to the coming D-8 summit in Tehran, Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali will seek re-invigoration of this Forum of eight developing nations.
The Summit Conference, scheduled for February 18 will be the second top leadership assembly since its inception in 1997.
Preceding the summit will be preparatory meetings with the assembly of Commissioners on February 15, after which the Council of Ministers will finalise the agenda and identify the areas where more emphasis for co-operation would be considered necessary.
Pakistan's delegation, beside the Prime Minister, will include Minister for Privatisation and Investment Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Secretary for Commerce and Tariq Osman Hyder, Additional Secretary at the Foreign Office and Pakistan's Commissioner to the Forum.
