Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday said the government has introduced the culture of tolerance and accommodation in politics and would always uphold democratic norms and principles.
He made these remarks while talking to Chief Minister Sindh, Sardar Ali Muhammad Mahar who called on him at the Prime Minister's Secretariat here.
The Prime Minister said, "We respect the mandate of others and expect from others to respect our mandate."
"We would always uphold democratic norms and principles," he said and added, "we have set up healthy traditions, which we would like to follow in letter and spirit," observed the Prime Minister.
Jamali said the country has been put on right direction and its all-economic indicators are showing upward trend.
The continuation of policies was bringing stability and strength and the country's perception as enlightened and forward-looking state was further consolidating, he added.
Referring to the development of Sindh, the Prime Minister said that along with expansion of road network, numerous projects for drinking and irrigation water supply were also under construction.
The completion of these projects would usher in an era of prosperity and socio-economic development in the province, he added.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the political situation, working of the alliance in the province and the development projects being executed there.
