Two bandits, a police constable and a car dealer were killed in robberies attempts, here on Sunday, while three houses and a weaving factory looted and six vehicles including a wagon lifted at various places.
According to details, two proclaimed offenders and robbers Shahid Jhangir and Riaz Raju Rangraiz were killed on the spot in exchange of fire with villagers in area of Ghar Police Station, last night. Both were wanted in more than 60 cases of dacoities and murder etc.
Both dead bodies have been taken into custody by the police and investigation is in progress.
In another incident, a Police Constable Qasim Shah posted at Police line Reserve Force was shot dead by a gang of armed dacoits near Kanuana link road, when he was going to home after his duty.
According to Police report, Qasim Shah tried to alert the villagers about the presence of dacoits, on which the bandits shot him dead and escaped. No clue has been reported so far.
In third incident, three armed dacoits shot dead Rizwan Ahmad, a member of Anjuman-e-Tajran Faisalabad and owner of City Car Decoration after robbing him of Rs 10,000 at Jinnah Colony Road, here on Sunday.
It was reported that Rizwan Ahmad had counting cash in his shop, when three armed dacoits entered the shop and snatched cash Rs10,000 at gun point.
Over the resistance, one of them armed dacoits stated indiscriminate firing and injured the shopkeeper.
The injured Rizwan was immediately rushed to Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds afterwards.
Shopkeepers of Jinnah Colony road kept their business closed in protest against the murder of Rizwan Ahmad and expressed their deep concern over the rising trend of robberies and dacoities in the city and demanded that alleged dacoits should be apprehended immediately.
At Faizabad, more than five armed persons have looted cash and valuables from a weaving factory of Mohammed Yaqoob. They fled away after locking him from outside.
At Madina Town, one Shamim Ahmad owner of a Car FDV-7211 approached Peoples Colony Police to inform that he had parked his car at the front of MCB Susan Road branch a short while ago from where it had been lifted by someone.
At General Bas Stand, a passenger bus FDW-7244 of Transporter Shahid Nadeem, which was parked at a workshop by its driver, was found missing.
At Chak 203JB, a wagon LHO-9241, owned by Muhammad Aslam was parked outside the residence drove away by unknown persons.
Furthermore, four motorcycles were lifted or snatched at various places, while three houses also looted by armed dacoits.
