New British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi

Hamish St. Clair Daniel, OBE, is the new British Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi. He took up his position on 11 February and is based at the British Deputy High Commission in Clifton, Karachi.
Daniel has had an extensive career within the British diplomatic service, particularly in the Islamic world. His previous postings have included Islamabad, Algiers, Khartoum, Sana'a and Jakarta. Most recently Daniel was the first British Ambassador to the newly independent nation of East Timor.-PR
