The Senate will initiate debate on President General Pervez Musharraf's address to the Parliament joint sitting from Friday.
During a meeting at the Senate Chairman's chamber between the representatives of the treasury and opposition, it was decided that the debate would be concluded on February 29.
The copies of Musharraf's address were provided to the lawmakers on Wednesday, as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raza Hayat Hiraj moved a motion for the debate.
President Musharraf had addressed the joint sitting on January 17, amid the combined opposition's slogan chanting and desk thumping while Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had staged a walkout.
