The Eastern Networks, region's premier information technology banking solutions provider, has announced plans to build an aggressive presence in the country's banking sector.
The company has joined hands with Synergy Computers Limited (SCL), an IT solutions provider to meet local demand for reliable and cost-effective solutions, based on international banking standards through the establishment of Eastern Networks Pakistan (ENP).
The Eastern Networks has a well-established network of offices across the Middle Eastern region, with its headquarters at Dubai Internet City. With the opening of a representative office in Pakistan, the company is aiming at consolidating its relationship with the banking and financial community in the country.
A Company official said "Pakistan is a developing market and has achieved considerable progress in the IT and banking sector.
The increasing adoption of IT-based solutions and systems in several business sectors has resulted in a major boost to the national economy, he added.
A major force in the global Islamic banking industry, Pakistan offers immense potential for our services, and we have taken a strategic decision to establish a stronger and more direct presence in Pakistan by establishing our partnership with Synergy Computers, a recognised player in the IT solutions market," said Hazem Mulhim, CEO, Eastern Networks.
Hazem said, "Eastern Networks has been active in the country, since 1999, by providing technical support to financial institutions from its Dubai office.
With a rising demand for specialised IT services and the advent of new IP-based messaging solutions, we felt the need for a dedicated local partner to work closely with Pakistani banks.
Iqbal Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, Synergy Computers Limited said, SCL is a leader in providing IT solutions to the corporate companies and banking sector in Pakistan.
"We offer our clients hardware, software, and communications solutions, combined with exclusive consultancy and maintenance services," he added.
