Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Taweel, Minister for Commerce and Industry, State of Kuwait arrived in Islamabad at the head of an 11 member delegation for the second session of Pak-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission to be held on 19-20 February, 2004.
Shaukat Aziz, Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs received the honourable guest at the Islamabad airport at 8.00 pm on February 18.
The JMC will evaluate the outcome of the first session of Pak-Kuwait JMC held in Kuwait in 1999.
During 2 days parleys to be held in Islamabad, delegates from both the countries will consider proposals to enhance bilateral trade, increase economic assistance provided by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, issuance of Visas, investment by Kuwaiti public and private sector, acquisition of public sector entities through privatisation, cooperation in petroleum, communications, information technology and environment.
During his visit the Kuwaiti Minister will also call on the President and Prime Minister and convey the special message of the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
