The newly introduced 'Green XL Plus' diesel by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) is environment friendly and provides various additional benefits to customers without any extra cost.
PSO Executive Director Kaleem Siddiqui said this at a briefing held here Thursday. The company attaches much importance to quality, quantity and customer service and the Green XL plus diesel is yet another initiative towards this direction, he added.
"The objective of introducing this green diesel is to reduce pollution, to provide better product to customers and give tough time to our competitors as well as to improve out market share." Green diesel is available more or less at 111 stations in big and small cities.
PSO's leadership has taken new initiatives, which is unprecedented in the history of corporate sector, Siddiqui said and added that PSO was the only company of Pakistan, which had the honour of becoming member of World Economic Forum.
This is also reflection of company's three-four year performance. As compared to its other competitors in the market, PSO started establishing new vision stations very late, but in a short span of time, it took the lead.
"Now we have as many as 850 vision stations across the country with 61 percent market share." There has also been significant growth in its sales of gasoline and diesel, he claimed.
In his presentation, Naeem Burni said at PSO, caring for the environment is a priority akin to quality and safety. Accordingly, it has taken the lead in launching for the first time in Pakistan Green KL Plus Diesel, a differentiated diesel product for the very first time in the country in terms of consumer marketing of fuel/energy products.
