They should prepare feasibility report and send it to the government for approval and allocation of funds.
The EPB vice-chairman said that under the scheme the association could include effluent treatment plant, roads and bridges development, sewerage and water lines etc which should be included in the development projects.
He said that the government is well aware of the condition roads, sewerage lines, and water supply lines in different industrial estates of the city and wants to improve them with the consent of relative association of trade and industry.
Abdul Razak Teli, leading the delegation of Lati, said that the association was ready to form a committee to identify areas, which should be included in development work.
He noted that the government is going to develop 'garment city' and suggested that it should not be more than 10 km away from the city.
He suggested that Landhi industrial area, export processing zones and supper highway are the best locations for garment city.
They are well near the residential areas which provide best opportunity for labour to reach the job site.
