A record 3.52 billion US dollars worth of deals were signed during the Asian Aerospace event that ended in Singapore on Saturday, organisers said.
Asian Aerospace Pte Ltd said in a statement the figure exceeded the 3.2 billion dollars worth of contracts signed during the last show two years ago.
Asian Aerospace, one of the world's top air shows, is held every two years in the city-state and has attracted the biggest names in the industry like Boeing Co, Airbus, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and the European Aeronautic, Defence and Space company (EADS).
There was no breakdown of the contracts, but a spokesman for Bell Helicopter was quoted in the statement as saying that the company closed 20 million dollars worth of deals during the four-day trade event that began Tuesday.
The weekend was reserved for the public to view the exhibits and aerial displays.
"This has been a really fantastic show, definitely one of the best so far," the Bell Helicopter spokesman said. "We have plans for a bigger presence in the next show."
The organisers also said the number of trade visitors surpassed the record 23,433 in 2002.
The show featured 758 exhibitors from 33 countries who showcased the latest products in the aerospace industry like planes, helicopters, aircraft engines, fighter jets, smart weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Aerial displays by the "drones" and warplanes from France, the United States and Australia, and helicopters from India were among the highlights of the show.
"The new business opportunities developed and the partnerships forged at the show will continue to benefit participants even after the show ends," said Asian Aerospace Pte Ltd president Ed Ng.
