A Jeddah-Quetta PIA Haj flight had to be abandoned after a foreign object injection into one of its engines caused damage to the blade of the fan.
According to PIA sources here, when PIA Haj flight PK-2002 operating by an Airbus with 261 Hajis for Quetta on board started take-off roll, the operating captain felt a noise.
When the vibration increased, the take off was abandoned, as per crew operating procedure for the safety of the passengers.
