The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) on Thursday disposed of 8,350 tonnes of imported soybean oil for more than Rs 413.376 million through an auction.
According to the TCP, the auction was held at the Corporation's head office where a large number of ghee and cooking oil units and commercial importers participated in the bidding.
The auction price ranged between Rs 49,505 and Rs 49,510 per tone against the reserve price of Rs 49,500 per tonne. The TCP had floated a tender on February 24, 2004 for the sale of 8,350 tonnes soybean oil which was imported from Japanese non-project grant.
The quantity sold included one lot of 50 tonnes, eight lots of 100 tonnes, 10 lots of 250 tonnes, and 10 lots of 500 tonnes.
