CPNE body's emergency meeting on March 8

The Standing Committee of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) will hold an emergency meeting on Monday, March 8, 2004 to consider the situation created due to the stoppage of government advertisements to the Nawai Waqt group of newspapers due to its editorial policies, says a press release of the CPNE.
The meeting will be held at 2 pm at the Central Secretariat of the CPNE, 3rd Floor Farid Chambers, Haji Abdullah Haroon Road, Karachi.
The Secretary General of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors, Jabbar Khattak, while announcing the holding of the emergency meeting, has urged all members of the Standing Committee to be present in view of the very important issue being discussed and the line of action that it has to undertake in the matter, in keeping with decisions reached at the meeting.
