The Amir, Jamaat-i-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmad, has strongly condemned the tragic Quetta incident, and said that foreign elements were involved in the occurrence.
Addressing a press conference at a local hotel on Wednesday, he said that some foreign elements were fanning the sectarianism by splitting Sunni and Shia just to weaken Pakistan.
The anti-Islamic forces had diverted their attention to segregate Muslim Ummah for their own interests, he said.
Qazi Hussain said it was a vivid fact that anti-Islamic forcers were trying to create chaos and disturbance in Pakistan by dividing different sects.
He said that it was high time to forge complete unity among the ranks with a view to edging out the possible threats to the integrity of Pakistan.
"It is our moral, religious and political obligation that we should jointly work for bringing out the country out of critical situation," he added.
Lashing at the poor and weak policies of the government, the Jamaat-i-Islami Amir urged the Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to give up the polices of Bush administration for the stability and integrity of the country.
He stressed upon the Prime Minister that adequate efforts should be made for creating consensus on imperative and vital issues, adding that all political leaders should be taken into confidence.
The present government, he alleged, was trying to introduce secular system of education in the country, adding that this system would certainly de-track the younger generation. Qazi Hussain was of the opinion that the Bush administration was patronising India for utilising it against China.
"The interests of Pakistan and America are very different and the masses of Pakistan will never tolerate this criteria and double standard of American government," he said.
He said that to appease the American government, the Pakistan government had intentionally initiated slashing criticism against national hero, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, and scientists of the country.
Qazi Hussain strongly condemned the stoppage of advertisements of The Nation and Daily Nawa-i-Waqt by the government, and termed it a naked aggression against the press, adding that a free press could serve the purpose of a bridge between the government and the people.
