Professor Aijaz Ahmed Qureshi, general manager, transmission, Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Sida), has taken over the charge as acting managing director in place of Rafiq Safi Munshey who has been promoted in Grade 21 and reverted to his parent organisation Karachi Port Trust.
According to a notification issued on Friday the decision was taken by Sida Board in its 22nd meeting that Qureshi has taken over his new assignment in addition to his existing post as general manager transmission.
Qureshi has a rich experience in the field of education and development management. Prior to joining Sida, he had served as general manager Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO), Sukkur, National Rural Support Programme at Hyderabad and Sukkur, Sindh Rural Support Programme, Hyderabad and has served in University of Sindh in different capacities. He has 12 publications to his credit.
