The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) had arranged a one-day conference on development of a new 'performance evaluation system' for tax officials.
The Human Resource Wing of CBR organised the conference here on Saturday at the National Institute of Banking and Finance, Islamabad.
The conference was addressed by CBR Member HRM Zafar Aziz Osmani, Akram Durani, Director, HR, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Ms Uzam Bashir, Chief, Organisational Development, NBP, Leon Manezees, GHM (HR), Shell Pakistan, and Major General Usman Shah(R), D.G. Customs Intelligence.
Tax officials from customs, sales tax, admin wing and HRM participated in the meeting.
The meeting focused on development of a transparent system, based on objectives, goals, competencies and on a consultative approach linking the performance with the pay for performance mechanism.
In the second session, participants discussed the pros and cons of the existing ACR system, which would be replaced with the new system for the tax officials.
