Piaf seeks early announcement of cut in power tariff

Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (Piaf) Chairman Shaikh Moham-mad Arshad has voiced concern over delay in announcement of cut in power tariff.
In a statement here on Sunday, he said the power tariff is revised upward every year without prior approval of the Cabinet and the parliament, which is not fair, adding the burden of frequent raise in prices of electricity has now become unbearable for the domestic as well as industrial consumers.
The Piaf chief demanded of the Prime Minister to immediately announce cut in power tariff in light of the recommendations of the Task Force in the interest of the industrial sector as well as local consumers.
