LEAs personnel encircle hijackers' hideouts: bombs fixed to kidnapees' bodies

After the failure of dialogues between the hijackers and the administration, the hijackers have attached the bombs with the bodies of the kidnapped persons while one of the kidnapee has reportedly died of heart failure. Law enforcement agencies have encircled the entire area.
"The hijackers have attached bombs with their bodies and the bodies of the kidnapped persons to escape from the operation of law enforcers, who are trying to get the kidnapped persons released safely.
However, the death of a kidnapped person could not be confirmed," said Shahid Iqbal, DPO Rajanpur.
"We are confident that the kidnapped persons would soon be released, however, we would not let anyone to endanger their lives by taking any action in a haphazard way," said Jamal Khan Leghari, District Nazim Dera Ghazi Khan and son of former president of Pakistan Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari.
Law enforcement agencies have failed to arrest the hijackers and recover the 13 passengers, including an army man, six children, from the custody of the hijackers, who had hijacked a bus on February 26, while it was on its way to Loralai from Dera Ghazi Khan.
Former minister Abdul Rehman Khetran and Pir Agha, a religious leader of the area, had negotiated with the hijackers on behalf of the local administration but they failed because the government had flatly refused to release the four prisoners being tried on murder charges.
District Nazim of Loralai district Abdul Mannan has alleged that the provincial government of Balochistan was not co-operating with the district administration for recovery of 13 passengers, resultantly their recovery was delayed.
A gang of outlaws on February 26 hijacked a minibus with 13 passengers, who belonged to the Punjab province, including four women and six children, at Hamza stop near Dera Ghazi Khan, some 110 miles west of Multan when it was going to Loralai from Dera Ghazi Khan.
One dacoit was killed in an encounter, however, the remaining dacoits managed to escape.
Law enforcement agencies, like Baloch Levies, Militia and police, failed to recover the kidnapped persons in spite of taking the help of helicopters in their operation.
"We are trying to recover the kidnapped persons safely and law enforcers have encircled the hideouts of the dacoits, who had hijacked the minibus. "Two of the dacoits were killed and another two injured," said Chaudhry Usman, DPO Dera Ghazi Khan.
Transporter Haji Jehangir Khan Moosakhel said that he had convened a jirga of his tribe to press the authorities for taking action against the kidnappers and to get the passengers released because this situation might destroy their business.
