NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has directed payment of compensation to the affectees of Karakuram Highway in Bisham, and ordered the District Revenue Officer (DRO), Shangla, to compensate them immediately whose land was not disputed.
He was talking to senior journalist, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai who called on the Chief Minister here on Thursday.
He informed the Chief Minister that the government acquired land from the people of Bisham for construction of the highway, but they had not been compensated so far.
The chief minister directed the concerned DRO to separate Bisham from disputed award and compensate the affectees immediately.
