Zarai Taraqqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) has decided that borrowers/ depositors who have not yet obtained computerised National Identity Cards (NICs) can produce attested copies of old NIC.
However, the customers will have to submit the receipt of Nadra as evidence that the client has applied for computerised NIC, for opening of accounts or obtaining loans, according to a ZTBL press release issued here on Friday.
The decision has been taken in line with the decision of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in order to facilitate the customers.
The borrowers and clients are also required to give an undertaking in writing that a copy of computerised NIC will be submitted immediately on receipt.
