The US Assistant Secretary of State, Torkel Patterson, accompanied by Consul General Douglas C. Rohn met Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, here at the Governor House on Saturday and discussed matters of mutual interests.
Views were also exchanged on law and order and matters relating to economic sector.
The US officials appreciated the obtaining law and order situation in Pakistan and particularly in Karachi and observed that there is a visible improvement here.
The Governor pointed out that positive trends in various sectors including Stock Exchange indicators are fully reflective of the situation.
He said besides good governance, the Province is overall heading towards progress in every sector.
Dr Ishrat informed that a number of investors, besides multinational companies, are now showing practical interest in expanding their business in Karachi and to make new investments.
