Nigerian aviation authorities said they have suspended the licence of a domestic airline over "unethical practices", a move industry experts said was linked to a political feud in the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Slok Airlines is owned by the governor of south-east Abia state Orji Uzor Kalu, who is locked in a public dispute over political killings with Tony Anenih, a former Minister of Works who was recently appointed chairman of the PDP board of trustees.
"Slok Airlines had on several occasions engaged in unethical practices contrary to the terms of its operating licence," said a statement from the Aviation Ministry released on Saturday.
