Imamia Students Organisation on Monday staged a demonstration as a protest against the Quetta and Phalia incidents in which more than 50 innocent people were killed.
The demo was led by Sarfraz Haider, central secretary information. The rally was addressed by Maulana Iqtidar Hussain Shah, Qaiser Abbas and Ali Nawaz.
"We believe that the present government has failed to protect the Shia mourners in spite of taking security measures and calling out the army for the assistance of civil administration and we are justified in refuting the claim of the government that it had broken the network of terrorists," said Sarfraz Haider.
They chanted slogans, "release Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi," "arrest the terrorists", "arrest the killers involved in the Quetta tragedy", "protect the Shiites".
