Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will inaugurate the 'uplift and beautification of Kallar Kahar Lake' project in Chakwai district on Wednesday.
The project, aimed at promoting the site as a tourist resort, has been undertaken by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) in collaboration with other departments with an estimated cost of Rs 30 million.
According to TDCP spokesman, the project includes dredging the lake, construction of suitable fence, diverting the waste water of the localities dotted around the lake and establishing picnic spots for tourists.
