The Lahore High Court (LHC) directed the District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha to get registered the case against the responsible policemen who entered the petitioner's house without any warrant.
The court passed these orders in a petition filed by one Haji Amjad Sheikh who approached the court against the highhandedness of police.
The court observed that police has no authority to arrest any person without any warrant or to enter his house without any search warrant.
The court, taking serious note of the illegal action of the respondent police officials, directed DPO Sargodha to take strict action against the responsible police officials and also get registered a criminal case against them.
