Safar moon not sighted

The second month of Islamic calendar, Safar-ul-Muzzafar will begin on Tuesday (March 23), as new moon was not sighted anywhere in the country.
Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rahman made this announcement, after presiding over a meeting of the committee here at Habib Bank Plaza on Sunday evening.
Other members of the committee included Maulana Qari Raza Al-Mustafa Azmi, Maulana Muhammad Asad Deobandi, Maulana Muhammad Sulfi, Maulana Qazi Muhammad Ahmed Naeemi and Maulana Qari Bashir Ahmed Naqshbandi.
Meanwhile, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees also met at their headquarters being unanimous in decision that there was no evidence for the new moon.
