Family members of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, living in Pakistan and India, visited Quaid's mausoleum on Pakistan Day on Tuesday to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.
They offered "Fateha" and laid floral wreath at Quaid's mazar. They also prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country.
Mrs Saeeda, daughter of Quaid's elder brother late Jan Mohammad Natu Poonjah during her visit to the mazar told APP that she had specially come here from Mumbai (India) to join the 64th anniversary of " Karardad-e-Pakistan."
"Pakistan Day reminds us the long and relentless struggle of the Muslims of this sub-continent led by Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah for an independent Muslim states," she emotionally said.
She said her family, mainly involved in automobile business in India, was living a happy life in Mumbai. "Irrespective of the religions Indians do respect and support our family for being related to the great leader of South Asia," she added.
She is staying at the residence of Quaid-e-Azam's grand son, Mohammad Aslam Jinnah, who was also present at the mazar along with his family to pay tribute to Father of the Nation.
Aslam Jinnah, trading in shopping bags in Nazimabad area, thanked Pakistan Government for extending protocol and basic facilities for his family.
"On the national days, we receive state protocol for the visit to Quaid's mazar," he said.
