AJK government is initiating necessary steps for the revival of sick industrial units to make them the production-earning concerns, official sources said.
The sources told APP here on Thursday that since the government is bent upon to bring about the industrial revolution in Azad Kashmir by spreading the network of industries through the private sector in various parts of Azad Kashmir particularly in Mirpur division, it is imperative for the concerned functionaries of Azad Jammu Kashmir government to materialise the government's ambitious plan for speedy industrial progress in the liberated territory.
The state administration has directed the department of Commerce and Industries as well as other departments to extend every possible facilities and incentives to the exiting and intending investors for the speedy industrial progress of AJK so that the states economy could get strengthened and the AJK people could embrace with the socio-economic uplift and prosperity.
The government has strictly advised the Department of Commerce and Industries to strictly abide by the rules and regulations in connection with the allotment of the plots for the new industrial units in the industrial estates of Azad Kashmir.
The government has decided to initiate stringent action against those officials found responsible of creating undue bottlenecks in the official works of the needy people.
The AJK government has further directed that commercial plots in the industrial estates be allotted only through auction so that every body could be able to participate in the bid.
The government has further directed for the immediate installation of the Environment Control system to save the city from the pollution.
Meanwhile a recently held high-level meeting of the AJK ministry of Commerce and Industry here has decided to extend period for allotment of plots for the industrial units in the industrial estates in Mirpur and Bhimbher. Several cases of allotment were also decided to be prepared according to rules and regulations.
The meeting also decided to hold quarterly meeting of the allotment committee after every three months in order to streamline and expedite the cases of allotments in response to the pending and new applications.
The meeting also reviewed in detail the cases of allotments of industrial and commercial plots in New Industrial area Mirpur and the Muzaffarabad industrial estates.
