ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday sought a comprehensive report over provision of facilities by hospitals in Quetta.
The division bench of the apex court headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the suo-moto notice case. During the course of proceedings, Additional Advocate General Balochistan Ayaz Swati told the court that not a single child died due to shortage of medicines in Sendimen Hospital Quetta.
On which Justice Maqbool Baqar remarked if no one died due to shortage of medicine then why Sendimen Hospital Quetta had been non-functional for last two months.
The Secretary Health Balochistan and Registrar Hospital submitted separate reports. Later, the court sought a comprehensive report and adjourned hearing of the case for an indefinite period.
