As many as 50 Pakistani doctors will proceed to India to attend a two-day Indo-Pak Cardiologists Conference, being organised at Amritsar, Indian Punjab, under the aegis of Escorts Heart Hospital, Amritsar, starting from April 10-11.
The Director of Escorts Heart Hospital, Dr T. S. Kler, hails from Ludhiana, East Punjab, on contact told this scribe here on Sunday that almost 40 Pakistani heart specialists have confirmed their participation in the conference.
Dr Kler said that the moot would focus on different cardiac diseases like by-pass, angiography., angioplasty etc and discuss latest techniques being used in Indo-Pak and world over thus bringing both the countries heart specialists closer and making them share their knowledge and expertise for mutual benefits.
Professor of Cardiology at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), Dr Nadeem Hayat Mallick, would lead a team of doctors from PIC and also read out his research paper in the moot while some other prominent cardiologists from various hospitals would also attend the conference.
