India and Pakistan will play six one-day internationals later this year with each country hosting three apiece, the chief executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PBC) said on Sunday.
"The Indian cricket board has informed us in writing that they've agreed to our proposal of playing a series of six one-dayers this year," Rameez Raja told Reuters.
In 2000, the Indian government banned all home and away cricket against Pakistan but India are making their first full tour to Pakistan in over 14 years after a recent thaw in relations between the countries.
"India were originally scheduled to play seven one-day internationals and three Tests on this tour," Raja said.
"But, due to a shortage of time, they agreed to only five one-dayers and three tests. They have, however, confirmed that, as a compensatory measure, they will play the six-match series later this year," he said. Raja added that the dates and venues would be decided soon.
