The advance technical skill-oriented training is imperative to further enhance the expertise in the wake of rapidly changing technologies of the new era.
These views were expressed by Professor Dr Farid A Khawaja, Director General National Institute of Science and Technical Education (Niste) while addressing 'the senior officers (AGE) and technicians (MT vehicles) of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at the concluding ceremony of their training here on Monday at the auditorium on Niste.
They were imparted training in fuel efficiency in road transport sector, welding techniques, denting, painting and repair of welding equipment.
Dr Farid Khawaja said the NISTE was established by the Ministry of Education to equip the different organisations and individuals with the modern techniques at national level.
Earlier, the Course Co-ordinator, Javed Sheikh highlighted the salient features of the training programme and 'future training strategy of the institute.
