Pakistan Engineering Congress (PEC) will hold a national annual seminar on 'water crisis in Pakistan & solutions' on April 08.
According to a joint statement issued by Engr Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid Khan President PEC and Engr Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain Secretary PEC, this seminar will be the part of the 69th Annual Session of the Congress to be held from April 06 to 09 at a local hotel here.
They said that Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain was expected to inaugurate the seminar. As many as ten-papers would be presented by water resources experts while a panel of experts would formulate recommendations for resolving the problem of water scarcity which would be submitted to the federal and provincial governments.
They pointed out that the congress proceedings would be attended by 500 to 600 engineers and delegates from across the country. Chaudhry Aamir Sultan Cheema Punjab Minister for Irrigation would inaugurate the 69th Annual Session of the Congress.
They maintained that on 6th and 7th April, 'Congress medals' would also be awarded to engineers showing outstanding performance in their relevant fields.
Around 26 technical papers on diverse technical subjects would be presented by eminent engineers during those sessions.
