Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said that the government is committed to strengthen the democratic institutions in the country.
He was talking to the speaker National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, who called on him at the Parliament House here on Friday.
The two leaders exchanged views on the ongoing session of the parliament.
The Prime Minister felicitated the speaker on conducting the debate on the President's address to the parliament smoothly.
The speaker informed the Prime Minister that the debate lasted for more than 38 hours and a total of 150 members belonging to both the treasury and the opposition benches took part.
This fact itself constituted a record in the country's Parliamentary history, he added.
