Punjab University has allocated Rs 22.38 million for construction of residential houses for its employees.
Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Arshad Mahmood on Saturday laid down the foundation stone for construction of 54 houses for junior staff of the university in the New Campus Residential Colony.
Project Director Mir Pervaiz Khurshid, while giving a detailed presentation on the construction plan, said that these houses would be completed in one-and-a-half-year time.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor said that besides these houses for the lower grade employees, the university would also build more residences for the teachers.
